N10 is a former pharmaceutical factory and headquarters of Orion, now operating as a multidisciplinary cultural centre.
Located on Nilsiänkatu in Vallila, Helsinki, N10 is an old industrial property that today serves as a vibrant hub for culture and creative work.
Originally built between 1934 and 1945 by Orion Corporation, the former pharmaceutical factory was one of the first significant buildings in Vallila’s industrial area. It functioned as Orion’s production facility until 1964 and as its headquarters until the early 1980s.
The property remained under Orion’s ownership until the 2010s. After that, the new owners began renting out the former factory spaces for temporary use. The affordable and adaptable premises quickly attracted professionals from the arts and cultural sectors and the building soon filled with a wide range of activities.
Today, N10 offers flexible and functional spaces across five office floors and two basement levels, and is home to around 250 tenants working in the arts and cultural fields.
Vallila is home to a wide variety of businesses, commercial spaces and educational institutions, and is one of Helsinki’s fastest-developing districts. Operators of all sizes and across different fields work side by side, creating a dynamic and urban environment.
KAAPELI (Kiinteistö Oy Kaapelitalo), a company owned by the City of Helsinki, has owned the N10 property since 2019. KAAPELI renovates and rents out former industrial buildings, with the aim of providing functional and inspiring spaces for the arts, culture, and creative industries. The company maintains and develops three cultural centres in Helsinki: Cable Factory, N10 and Suvilahti.
